Clearly written by one of our former interns, and beautifully illustrated, this 70 page book is a practical guide for saving seeds in the villages of the Pacific. We provide it as a pdf here as it is out of print.
This is a pdf of an abbreviated translation done by the Bulgarian Seed Savers. If you have any comments please email michel@seedsavers.net. We are working in the Balkans over the next few years and would love to make contacts.

We have had a very exciting year with our first ever meeting in August 2008, followed by an event every two to three months since then.
Our events have organically come to have a guest speaker giving a short talk on anything from the soil to compost teas and a time for questions followed by afternoon tea, sharing the plates of treats that everyone has brought; then the main event of the afternoon A GARDEN TOUR during which we all ask questions and chat and ending in a sharing out of the treasure of plants, cuttings, seedlings, tubers and of course SEEDS that everyone has brought to give away. Most events have 30-40 gardeners in attendance, all of us happily chatting about gardening and getting to know the other gardeners present.
We do not have a seed bank, but anyone attending the events may find some seeds that they like.
We have and will attend local events on sustainability and gardening with displays of Seed Saving and the "Seed Saver's Handbook" on sale.
We had an event Saturday 2nd April at Rasa's near Federal and last November Sunday 15th 2-5pm.
IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY ON OUR EMAIL LIST and live around the Byron Bay Shire or can attend the event please contact Rasa by email for the details.
