Jude Fanton has sent you a group e-mail from Seed Savers Network
--------------------------------------------------------

Dear Local Seed Network Coordinators

There are now eighty five Local Seed Networks. Each Local Seed Network
has a webpage on our website. Do have a look at
http://www.seedsavers.net/lsn/view-all where they are listed by state. Some
of them make quite interesting reading, some have photos and some a seed
list. We have listed fourteen examples below.

We have been updating our records and these webpages so the contact
information for each network should be correct. If you find a mistake,
please change it yourself (see below), or let us know. Also there is a
facility for a seedlist. See examples below. One Network is offering seeds
direct to you, Yarra Valley Seed Savers.

We have uploaded 260 film clips on Youtube that we filmed in our
garden, kitchen and on our seed travels. See more below.

We hope you are all doing well considering the odd weather.

Warm wishes, Michel and Jude Fanton

Film Clips on Seed Travels

This last two years we have changed our focus from converting the
converted to a wider target audience, particularly young people.
Accordingly we have taken 260 film clips on our garden, kitchen and seed
travels and uploaded them to our Youtube channel. Our channel is divided
into a dozen playlists. One is for Local Seed Networks

See www.youtube.com/seedsavers where there is an option to join our
channel. All this means is that you will receive an email whenever we
upload a clip.

How to Update your Webpage

Some coordinators have had trouble logging in. Here is the three step
process:

1. To log in go to http://www.seedsavers.net/local-seed-networks,
scroll down the left hand side, enter your username and password if you
know them. If this is your first time choose the link "Request a new
password". Instructions are on the next page.

2. Once you have logged in and changed your password, go to LSN
directory page http://www.seedsavers.net/lsn/view-all and click on your LSN
under your state.

3. You will notice that at the top of the listing there are tabs for
"View" and also for "Edit". If you choose
"Edit" you may change and update information and add photos.

Lists your Seeds on your Webpage

Do you have excess seeds that you can offer to the public? There is a
facility on your webpage for listing seeds. You enter the type first, say
tomato, then the variety. There are instructions on the editing page.

These two are examples with a good seed list:

Port Curtis Seed Savers, Qld

Seeds for Local Seed Networks

Chris Brock, Coordinator of Yarra Valley Seed Savers east of Melbourne
writes:

Hi Jude

Here is the list of seeds available to other Local Seed Networks. Most
are available in large amounts. Most are dated as being packed in 2008 or
2009 although some are older. I am currently testing some of them for
viability. People should contact me via email, chrisbrock@austarnet.com.au,
if they want any of this seed. I would like stamped, addressed envelopes to
cover postage costs.
