11 Herb Terrace

This is where the wild things are! Unusual herbs and new plants that need close observation, a cotton bush, a Vitex agnus-casti, a collection of daylilies, and other rare flowers form a habitat for predators on pests in the nearby vegetable gardens.

Catmint (Nepeta cataria) is a ground cover in part of the herb terrace. Red hearted chicory (Cichorium intybus) is something wild from Europe. The roots are roasted and used as a coffee substitute.

Cat's whiskers is growing in the herb terrace. Minette is the official seed bank guardian. She is going for the record of the least waking hours, and the most mice caught and loves to be in the wild things area.

Angelica is an easy plant to grow and the stems and leaves are delicious when boiled with sugar and dried.
