Permaculture
Fruity Forest |
These hills were formed in October 1998 from
dirt that had come from a development site nearby. At first
they were planted with legume cover crops of different sizes,
then the fruit trees. Sweet potatoes were added to smother
the weeds and the whole thing left virtually to itself to
develop. There has been no need for a watering system to be
laid on. Vegetables and spices are grown under the young trees.
