23 Lotus Pond


The shallow pond is situated at the bottom of a large catchment area. Bodies of water increase the biodiversity of the surrounding area.



Below a large swathe of lawn and connected to underground water sources the lotus pond never dries up. Bee-attractant and beautiful lotus flower is an important symbol in many cultures.

Water lily leaves contrast with white daisy flowers. The leaves of Red Hot Pokers are used as fibre.

Cosmos provide a gay backdrop to the lotus. Intern Cheze, Jude and Michel in the Melaleuca by the lotus pond.
