4 Meeting Place


The Seed Centre is used for meetings, workshops and tours. It is a meeting place for interns and volunteers, journalists, writers, film-makers, aid workers returning from their postings and seed savers.



The bamboo pagoda was built in mid 2000 by Thomas, a local eccentric, and several interns. It makes a focal point for the front lawn. An Aboriginal group from the cotton growing area of St George a twelve hour drive west. They were looking at ways of avoiding the use of chemicals, creating diversity gardens and producing their own seeds.
